Generally superficial stains such as coffee, tea, dark soda, etc. are easily removed by the hygienist at a routine hygiene visit. In between times, if you’d like to address the staining I would recommend any toothpaste that has the ADA seal of approval on it. There are stringent evaluation guidelines for abrasive systems so that you don’t remove tooth enamel, and to get the official seal these products must fall under their guidelines. If you really like the baking soda, I would recommend the Arm&Hammer Sensitivity toothpaste, which is the least abrasive on the market at this time.
